But at a Kars4Kids-sponsored summer camp, children grow in so many areas, socially, academically and emotionally. With love and attention from counselors and mentors, summer camp is the best place for these children.

The amount you can claim from the IRS as a tax deduction depends on the category applicable to you:

a) The value of your vehicle up to $500. It is up to the donor to determine the fair market value.
b) The amount we sell your vehicle for - if it is more than $500.
Kars4kids is a classified 501(c)(3) charity organization. You can check with your tax advisor or accountant to determine the amount of your benefit. Kars4Kids accepts donations of virtually all kinds of vehicles, including but not limited to: car, snow plow, boat, bus, jet ski, truck, airplane, van, trailer, motorcycle, ATV, tractor, commercial, fleet and RV (motor home) donations. Sorry, no kids.
We can usually pick up a vehicle without a title in Missouri . We just need the registered owner to sign some paperwork for us.

Here is how to transfer ownership of your car when you donate it in Missouri:
Remove your license plates before the car is picked up and either destroy them or return them to your local Missouri license office. Submit a completed Notice of Sale (DOR-5049) form to the Motor Vehicle Bureau. Cancel your insurance after the car's been towed.
